Format: Each participant will engage in a three-week round-robin event, playing two 20-minute games per week. Following this, there will be single-elimination playoffs.
Time Control (Round Robin): Each chess game will have a time limit of 10 minutes for each player, allowing for fast-paced and exciting gameplay. Make sure to adjust the time controls accordingly before starting the match.
Time Control (Playoffs): Each chess game will have an increased time to 15 minutes for each player.
Rules and Regulations: Common chess rules, including standard rules for chess notation, and rules governing draws (such as the threefold repetition rule), will be observed.
How to Start: Message the opponent on teams to decide upon a time which works for everyone. Also, designate who will send out the game invite. The person sending the invite should ensure that the color is random and that the time control is set to 10 minutes.
Grand Prize: A grand prize will be awarded to the tournament champion along with forever being displayed in the Throne Room.
